List all of the desktops defined in the Microsoft Remote Desktop application and choose which one to connect to. You can select a desktop from a list or continue typing to filter down to just a single desktop.

The Microsoft Remote Desktop application doesn't support Applescript so the workflow simulates keystrokes to activate a desktop. That said, it is reliable and works regardless of the current state of the application.
